Brief Introduction
Alumina carbon brick is also called aluminum carbon firebrick. It is a carbon based refractory material made from corundum (high grade bauxite, mullite, etc.) aggregates and fines, graphite, binders and additives. According to the production process, alumina carbon composite refractory bricks are divided into burned aluminum carbon bricks and unburned aluminum carbon bricks.
The Common Alumina Carbon Brick is Burned Micro-pores Alumina-Carbon Brick is mainly used for working lining of bosh above the air pip and belly. The average pore diameter of micro-pore alumina carbon brick is less than 1µm, and the volume percentage of the pores less than 1µm is no less than 70%.

Features
Aluminum carbon bricks have high refractoriness, good chemical stability and corrosion resistance. If ZrO2 is added to the ingredients, good thermal shock resistance can be obtained. The compressive strength of fired aluminum-carbon bricks containing Al2O372%~85%, C7%~8% can reach 110~120MPa, and the flexural strength at 1400°C can reach 25MPa; containing Al2O335%~46%, C+SiC30%~37% The compressive strength of the fired aluminum-carbon brick is 21-28MPa.
Application
Aluminum carbon bricks can be used in blast furnaces, continuous casting tundishes (long nozzles, submerged nozzles, stoppers, upper and lower nozzle bricks, slide plate bricks), ladle, hot metal cans, torpedoes and other thermal equipment.
